Welcome to Vancouver. This evening, join your Travel Director and enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2 Monday 11 June 2018
Vancouver Sightseeing and Free Time
This morning, be swept away by sparkling Vancouver with its panoramic views of English Bay. Set out for Stanley Park to see its towering totem poles and explore historic Chinatown and Gastown, the city’s first downtown, named for “Gassy” Jack Deighton who opened the area’s first saloon. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps visit an art gallery, do some shopping, relax at a café or visit the Capilano Suspension bridge.

DAY 3 Tuesday 12 June 2018
Vancouver – Victoria (2 Nights)
Travel by ferry to Vancouver Island and Victoria. En-route, visit a family-owned winery and taste the perfectly-balanced vintages, aged in French oak barrels at a Be My Guest lunch on the property. Later, enjoy a tour of Victoria.

Victoria Sightseeing and Free Time
Greet the day with breakfast at Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre showcase of gorgeous floral gardens. Meet with a representative who can answer any questions before exploring on your own. Back in Victoria, enjoy

DAY 5 Thursday 14 June 2018
Victoria – Whistler
Return to the mainland by ferry and drive along the scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway. This afternoon, arrive in Whistler. Enjoy a ride on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Joining Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains, this world record-breaking engineering marvel is the highest and longest lift of its kind in the world.

Whistler – Sun Peaks
Leaving Whistler, continue toward the thriving ski resort of Sun Peaks and enjoy an interpretive walk before your Regional Meal dinner. After, a Local Specialist will regale you with tales of voyageurs and the fur trapping industry.

DAY 7 Saturday 16 June 2018
Sun Peaks – Jasper
Travel into the majestic Rocky Mountains. Stop for a knock-out view of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Upon arriving in Jasper, enjoy an interpretive walk at Maligne Canyon. Then take a cruise to Spirit Island on Maligne Lake. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the hotel and then, learn all about the native wildlife during an interactive presentation by a Local Specialist.

DAY 8 Sunday 17 June 2018
Jasper – Lake Louise
Set out for a drive along the Icefields Parkway with jaw-dropping views. Stop at Athabasca Glacier on the Columbia Icefield and take a memorable ride across the glacier’s surface on a specially designed Ice Explorer. Next, step on to Glacier Skywalk, the newest attraction in the Rockies, a thrilling glass floored walkway, a full 280 metres above the Sunwapta Valley. Later, arrive in Lake Louise, the Jewel of the Canadian Rockies.

Banff Sightseeing and Free Time
Today explore Banff, Bow Falls, the viewpoint of Surprise Corner along Tunnel Mountain Drive and the wind-shaped Hoodoos overlooking Bow Valley, before boarding the Banff Gondola. Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain and enjoy a bird’s eye view of six mountain ranges. Later, learn about the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police during a “Meet a Mountie” Local Specialist presentation. The rest of the day is at leisure. This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Banff – Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer (Goldleaf Category) from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of the BC Interior. Enjoy the spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven.

Kamloops – Rocky Mountaineer – Vancouver
Your journey continues towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. You will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the
Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver.
