Blanket Appeal

The Advertiser Sunday Mail Foundation's (ASMF) Blanket Appeal in 2010 raised in excess of $50,000.  This allowed the foundation to provide over 2,000 double and single blankets to tens of hundreds of families and people in need. Because of increasing need, our aim this year is to raise at least $60,000, to try and keep up with the ever increasing need.

With South Australia yet to fully feel the full effects of electricity price rises, this year the need of the charitable organisations and community groups who have registered with the appeal is so much greater. Your donation will go a long way to assist the appeal in fulfilling the requests for blankets from people in need this winter.

The Rotary Club of Adelaide is proud to be associated with appeal and provides the appeal with the use of its website to collect donations electronically.

With the wonderful support of Cochranes Transport this year we will  deliver blankets to charitable organisations and community groups for distribution before the cold days of winter really set in , early to mid June.

Each year the number of charitable organisations and community groups that register with the ASMF's Blanket Appeal increases. With your help we can meet the increasing demand of supplying warm blankets to South Australians in need.
